Douglas-Coffee County Chamber Power Lunch Highlights Local Success and Regional Resources

The Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce recently hosted an October Power Lunch focused on celebrating local success and connecting members with resources available in the region.

Sponsor Medical Institute of South Georgia opened the program. The institute’s owner shared her story of building her dream from the ground up, working her way to becoming a nurse, and ultimately opening an institute dedicated to helping others pursue careers in healthcare. Through training programs in CNA, phlebotomy, nursing, and more, the institute helps individuals take the next step toward a career in the medical field.

The featured program was led by Nichole Reynolds, Community Outreach Coordinator with Child Care Resource & Referral of Southeast Georgia. Reynolds explained how her team works alongside families, early childhood education professionals, and community members to support safe, high-quality learning environments for children. Through on-site coaching, technical assistance for Quality Rated child care programs, and state-approved training and professional development, the organization supports child care providers across a 40-county region.

The chamber thanks Medical Institute of South Georgia for sponsoring the event, Reynolds for sharing her insight, and everyone who attended.
