Stone’s Home Centers Named Georgia’s 2026 HBS Dealer All Star

THOMASVILLE, Ga. — Stone’s Home Center in Thomasville has been selected as Georgia’s 2026 Hardware All Star by Hardware + Building Supply Dealer magazine, earning recognition as one of just 50 independent home improvement businesses honored nationwide.

The annual Hardware All Stars program recognizes one outstanding hardware store, lumberyard, or home center from each state for excellence in areas including innovation, business performance, customer service, and community involvement.

For more than 60 years, Stone’s Home Center has served the Thomasville community, continually adapting its products and services to meet the changing needs of homeowners and professional customers. Under Manager Adam Thompson, that commitment includes a disciplined approach to continually refreshing departments, improving store layouts, and identifying emerging product trends.

Quarterly department updates have helped increase customer traffic. Among the store’s standout destinations are an expansive outdoor living area featuring patio furniture and grills, one of the region’s most comprehensive Yeti assortments, and a robust paint department.

Stone’s has also distinguished itself by anticipating what customers will need next. Thompson recognized growing demand for black finishes early, expanding the trend across bath fixtures, drawer pulls, and even guttering. The store has also stocked products uncommon in southern Georgia, including heaters and ice melt, to ensure customers are prepared when rare cold snaps arrive.

“Our team takes a lot of pride in knowing our customers and staying a step ahead of what they’re going to need,” Thompson said. “Being selected to represent Georgia is a tremendous honor because it recognizes the work our entire team puts into making Stone’s better every day. We’re especially proud to serve Thomasville, and we appreciate the customers who have supported this store for generations.”

Stone’s, one of 11 locations in Georgia and Florida, serves both DIYers and professionals with a deep product assortment, expanded flooring selection, power tools, and a drive-through lumberyard offering treated and untreated building materials.

That commitment extends beyond the store. Following recent hurricanes, Thompson used his own equipment to help clear road debris, reflecting the hands-on community involvement that has helped make Stone’s a trusted local resource.

Stone’s Home Center is a member-owner of Do it Best Group, an international home improvement cooperative.
